Project Overview
HalalHero.id is a pioneer in the halal certification industry in Indonesia, providing trusted
solutions to ensure your products and business meet stringent halal standards. As a trusted partner
in your halal certification journey, we are committed to providing comprehensive and professional
services.
My Role
As the Lead Web Developer and the primary technology partner behind HalalHero, I am responsible for:
- Architecting and developing the website from the ground up using modern, scalable technologies
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders to translate business goals into high-impact web features
- Executing technical SEO strategies to improve organic discoverability and page performance
- Ensuring responsive and accessible design across all devices
- Implementing fast and secure infrastructure for seamless user experience
Additionally, I serve as the right hand in all things tech — from overseeing third-party
integrations to providing long-term tech direction. This role has required wearing multiple
hats: developer, problem solver, SEO optimizer, and digital strategist.
Design Objective
- Build a fast-loading, SEO-friendly platform optimized for both users and search engines
- Ensure the platform maintains trust and credibility, essential for a regulation-driven service like halal certification
- Create an interface that encourages user actions — from submitting applications to booking consultations
- Maintain a design system that blends modern UI principles with Islamic value alignment, without falling into outdated or cliché design tropes
- Prioritize mobile responsiveness, considering a majority of users access the service via smartphone
Key Learning
This project deepened my understanding of combining technical execution with strategic thinking.
Working on HalalHero wasn’t just about building a website — it was about solving a real-world
problem with a product mindset. I learned that delivering value fast (I completed the
high-fidelity prototype in under a week) is often more crucial than polishing for perfection
over weeks. As a result of this project, I grew significantly in:
Balancing speed with quality
Thinking in terms of user journeys and conversion goals
Executing on-page SEO effectively from a developer’s perspective
I'm proud to be part of HalalHero's journey and to contribute to a meaningful mission that
impacts both local businesses and the broader halal economy.
